Open Anomaly Detection (OpenAD)

Vision: OpenAD: an integrated ecosystem that consolidates our extensive AD systems, bridging the gap between research and its practical implementation in the market, with three major aims. 

1. The first one is to establish OpenAD by integrating existing open AD platforms. This reduces the challenges associated with complex, cross-platform AD problems while offering a platform that’s user-friendly, consistent, and rapid. Integral to this includes a standardized, distributed development environment that not only enhances community development processes but also simplifies the induction of new contributors and bolsters the ecosystem’s security and resilience. 

2. We plan to form a governing committee, consisting of representatives from the developer community, academia, industry, and governmental bodies. This committee will guide diverse aspects, from development agendas and standardized procedures to dispute resolution. Concurrently, we have outlined strategies geared towards fostering an expansive AD community, encompassing both developers and users. 

3. We have envisioned a long-term strategy emphasizing cutting-edge research, facilitating seamless transitions from the lab to the market, and amplifying our educational outreach endeavors for sustained growth.
